Get the best deals to start your summer off on the right foot.
  • Memorial Day will be observed on Monday, May 25, this year.
  • The big shopping weekend always brings big shopping deals with it, and I rounded up some of the best deals on treadmills as we head into summer.

It’s the hottest, sweatiest season of the year, which makes it the best time to get on your treadmill. (Unless you’re a glutton for dirt, of course.) Running in the heat can be miserable and even dangerous. But worry not, you can run comfortably in the glorious air conditioning with a fan directly in your face, your best serial killer doc on the television, and clothes that don’t need to be cute (but they so can be), if you grab one of the treadmills on sale for Memorial Day.

There are a ton of treadmills on the market, and knowing which ones are worth it and which to pass on is hard. Don’t worry, I’ve put the miles in to find all the best models out there, and right now, some of our faves are seeing big discounts.

I’ve scoured the interwebs looking for the best deals. I’ve evaluated them for value, reliability, customer service, quality of feel underfoot, and any other spec I would traditionally assess when recommending ’mills, but paying special attention to price. Here are the best picks I’ve found.

Memorial Day Treadmill Deals

This is by far my favorite folding treadmill, so when it goes on sale, I make sure I shout about it to the rooftops. First things first: this ’mill folds up flat. We’re talking this whole thing folds to under 10 inches wide, and it can be stored lying down or perpendicular to the floor.

As for the treadmill itself, it has a lightly cushioned deck that’s comfortable to run on and an easy-to-use control board with several preinstalled programs. It has a generous tablet holder with charging, and the fans are honestly not bad. I do wish the cup holders were a bit deeper and that the wheels rotated more, but given that you can fold or unfold it with one hand, beggars can’t be choosers.

This treadmill has the look and feel of a gym treadmill. It also has durability. I have run on F80S that are pushing 10 years old, and they are still working really well. As long as you properly maintain this model, you’ll have it for years and years.

Convenience and Safety

BowFlex T6 Treadmill

It’s a foldable, easy-to-set-up treadmill that syncs with your favorite running programs, your phone or Apple Watch, and basically just plain works. It’s a middle-level as far as cushioning goes—not too bouncy, but not too firm. It has great transitions between speeds and inclines; the toggles and buttons don’t jerk you up or down too quickly; and it’s fairly easy to move around and store.

I love this machine. It’s simplicity personified, but it has all the user-friendly features you know and love in a Bowflex, including its wonderful centerline that runs down the deck. You don’t think it’ll do much until you’re 20 miles in and you’re starting to run sloppy, and it says, “Hey buddy, want to come back to center for me?” Genuinely thoughtful.
This is a more cushioned deck, so if you’re prone to knee/ankle/back pain, it can help absorb some of that impact. The transitions could be a little slower, but they’re not jarring or dangerous. All in all, a heckuva ’mill.

We love this treadmill at the office. We’ve had it for years, and it consistently performs at the top of its class. Very few treadmills get to live at our HQ for any length of time, so that says something.

It has a large deck, a big screen, and is easy to operate. Personally, I love running the pre-installed programs, thanks to their variety and challenge, but even without the help of a built-in program or the dynamic iFit app, the treadmill is still really great. It has a cushioned deck with multiple running zones for push-off and landing, a smooth belt that doesn’t hiccup even after you’ve put serious miles on it, and accessories (fan and cup holders) that are well-placed and generous.

I simply adore this treadmill. It’s easily one of my favorite things I own. It folds down to only eight inches tall, you can store it upright, and honestly, it’s just a wonderful treadmill to run on. The deck is cushioned, but not bouncy, the incline is smooth, and the transitions between speeds are great and easy to adjust. The fan? Could be better, but overall, it’s a treadmill you won’t regret.

The T9 does a lot really well. First, it’s just a solid, highly cushioned treadmill great for people looking for extra shock absorption. Second, it features a line down the center of the deck that helps keep you on the ‘mill on long runs when you might ramble. Third, you aren’t beholden to just one fitness app. The FTMS capability allows you to connect to multiple running apps to turn on a program or class and just go. Altogether, it makes a compelling case.

If you want a treadmill that most closely resembles a gym treadmill, this is it. It’s built like an absolute tank, has a highly-cushioned deck, and the best part? It’s hop on and run. No subscription required, nothing to sign in to use. It just works, and does it well. This treadmill will last you decades, and you’ll never regret buying it.

Walking Pad AND Treadmill

This is Walkingpad’s entrant into the traditional treadmill space, doing what they do best—making an easy-to-store treadmill that delivers on its promises. At over 50 inches long and 20 inches wide, this is their largest treadmill. And unlike their other machines, this bad boy can get up to 11.5 miles per hour, which is way faster than I run, I can tell you that much.

And perhaps the best part? It folds up small enough to hide behind your sofa or in your closet, thanks to Walkingpad’s ingenious double fold that lets you fold the treadmill deck in half and into itself. It’s a genuinely wild thing to see, and I’m excited.

Having a solid under-desk treadmill at home or in the office not only helps you get your steps in but also keeps your energy up and improvesyour focus. I find that it really saves my bacon on days I’d normally just be rotting at my desk. The GoPlus has been a favorite of ours for a long time, and they’ve made huge improvements for this model. Not only does this one have an optional handlebar, but it also has a remote, Bluetooth speakers, and it goes quite a bit faster than other models, reaching speeds up to 7.5 miles per hour. Get your brain and body moving every day, whether you’re doing your work or watching a show about Mormon wives.
