2026 Topps Pro Debut Checklist: MLB Prospect Cards & Autographs We’re Hunting

As Bowman has become the baseball card world’s high-end prospect release in recent years, it has also become more expensive for your average collector who might want to get their hands on cards of baseball’s future stars.

Enter Topps Pro Debut. With four guaranteed autographs and typically a pile of numbered cards and inserts, Topps Pro Debut overdelivers at a starting price of $139.99 per box.

The 2026 preorder sold out in less than 15 minutes, which makes sense, since Pro Debut offers solid card quality at a comparatively affordable price. It continues to get better with on-card chrome autographs, and the prospect autograph checklist is as good or better than most Bowman releases.

You already know we at Baseball America are ecstatic for another year of what has become an elite product for true prospect heads. And although the resale value on these cards is limited relative to Bowman releases, that’s OK—these are top players, and we love the fact that this is the only release in the card world that features the players in their MiLB uniforms, including all of the ridiculous mascots that litter the standings from the California League to the International League and everywhere in between.

So, with the release date of Nov. 18 approaching, let’s dive into the full checklist.

The Most Famous Names In Topps Pro Debut

The published 2026 Topps Pro Debut checklist features 59 of Baseball America’s Top 100 Prospects, which is down from 82 in 2025. The checklist is still punching heavy at the top, though, with eight of BA’s Top 10 Prospects featured somewhere in the product. Here are some notables for 2026 Pro Debut:

Similar to last year, there are a bunch of players who were Top 100 Prospects at some point in the last year who have recently graduated. So, while the overall number is down, this product is no less jam-packed with awesome prospect chases. A few notable recently graduated names with autographs in 2026 Pro Debut include JJ Wetherholt, Konnor Griffin, Kevin McGonigle, Carson Benge and Travis Bazzana.

Jumbo Autograph Relics Return (But MiLB ‘Logo Man’ Chase Does Not)

Last year, there was a big to-do about the “Logo Man” chase in the then-new jumbo autograph relic category of Pro Debut. That checklist does not exist in 2026. However, jumbo autograph relics do return, and the checklist is stronger to the eye in 2026 than it was in 2025.

Last year, the top end of this checklist featured Walker Jenkins and Josue De Paula before dropping into a second tier of Marcelo Mayer, Kyle Teel and Colson Montgomery. This year, the upper echelons are a little deeper with players like Kevin McGonigle, Max Clark, Leo De Vries, Theo Gillen, Rainiel Rodriguez, Travis Bazzana and Ryan Waldschmidt. Needless to say, I’m happy with the trade-off of the Logo Man chase for a more robust checklist of prospects and young big leaguers in this set.

Once again, I expect some fun swatches from this checklist to match the zany flair of minor league mascots and alter egos. This set should make for some unique collectibles in what is an awesome crop of future household-name big leaguers.

Inserts To Chase: 2025 Arizona Fall League Stars & Pro Debut Gamers

Let’s do a quick rundown on the relatively small list of insert offerings for 2026.

Ballpark Promos and Stars of MiLB return for their second go-round on the checklist. New inserts for 2026 include 2025 Arizona Fall League Stars, Pipeline Pairings and Pro Debut Gamers. Of the three sets, the Fall League Stars and Pro Debut Gamers also come with autograph variations.

The Arizona Fall League Stars checklist features 20 cards for the non-autograph variation and 17 cards for the auto variation. McGonigle is the clear standout on this checklist with other names like Hagen Smith, Charlie Condon, and Seaver King carrying some intrigue as well. Overall, this is one of the more underwhelming checklists in the product.

Pro Debut Gamers has a 24-card checklist and the auto variation features 20 of the 24 players. This checklist is a bit more impressive, with autographs of De Vries, Made, Anderson and Eli Willits topping the list. Sixteen of the 20 players on the auto checklist are BA Top 100 Prospects.

There is a trio of insert sets from last year that will not return for the 2026 edition, including Drafted, League Elites (which just debuted last year) and MiLB Legends. The exclusion of MiLB Legends is a bummer, as there was a solid autograph checklist with that set in 2025 featuring Buster Posey and Cliff Lee, among others.

Who I’m Hunting In Topps Pro Debut

I’m going to start here with the Griffin/McGonigle/Wetherholt triple autograph, because, well… that one is just downright dirty.

I would also love to find a sick Rainiel Rodriguez jumbo autograph relic from this set. He’s a young star who has a chance to debut in 2027 for a Cardinals team that is trending up. This guy rakes.

Dax Kilby (Yankees) is another name I’ll be hunting pretty hard in Pro Debut. His Bowman prices have come down after he missed a good part of 2026 with injury, but I expect his prospect star to shine again with a full season in 2027. Give me a nice, true gold chrome autograph of Kilby from Pro Debut, and I’ll be a happy customer.

You already know that this product is jam-packed with prospects outside the Top 100 I’ll be excited to get my hands on. That list includes Red Sox prospect Justin Gonzales. His Bowman First autos are still very high on secondary markets, and I anticipate this will be my chance to collect without breaking the bank.

Beyond Gonzales, I love the idea of grabbing color matches for Aidan West (Dodgers), Steele Hall (Reds), Brandon Compton (Marlins), Ethan Frey (Astros) and Ethan Conrad (Cubs).

Topps Pro Debut Breaker Value

The Brewers‘ checklist is littered with Made autograph opportunities. BA’s No. 21 prospect, Luis Peña, also signed a ton for this set, as did Cooper Pratt, the starting shortstop for the Brewers in the World Series. And even beyond that, Josh Adamczewski (BA No. 79), Braylon Payne, Blake Burke and Brady Ebel penned their John Hancock for this product. The Brewers’ system is loaded with guys who performed in the minors in 2026, and Pro Debut casts a wide net to cover the breadth of opportunity for collectors.

On the Nationals front, it’s a heavy dose of Willits and the re-emergence of Seaver King as a prospect who helps pull the rope for Washington in Pro Debut. Players like Devin Fitz-Gerald, Landon Harmon and Ethan Petry having autographs in the set doesn’t hurt the cause either.

The Pirates are top-loaded with Konnor Griffin, Seth Hernandez and Edward Florentino. There is no shortage of opportunities to grab those three across all of the autograph checklists.

On the other end of the spectrum, you’ll want to stay away from the Rangers and Padres in breaks. Both organizations lack checklist depth and neither features a Top 100 Prospect. Yes, I like AJ Russell (Rangers). But, no, I would not chase AJ Russell in a breaker format. Grab your Rangers and Padres autos as singles for cheap in a couple months when the product has cooled off.

Where to Buy Topps Pro Debut & Formats

Topps Pro Debut is a hobby-only release. Each hobby box is set to feature 144 cards again (six packs with 24 cards per pack) and will have, on average, four autographs—status quo from last year.

Presale on the Topps website saw the boxes at $139.99, which is a $30 bump from last year. We could see this coming after last year’s product had a bit of a coming-out party in regard to the value it was delivering previously at $109.99.
